Universe Mysteries

By (Prof) Dr Anuj Chugh

.

Implications of an infinite number of universes. A new concept of infinity Or making sense of an infinite number of universes :-

.

1. Infinite universes also means an infinite number of ways in which life can possibly exist beyond human conception.

.

2. Infinite universes does not mean that our human existence is special or not special. Please understand that. Life is special for every individual who values their life. And that is almost, everybody.

.

3. Infinite universe(s) mean infinite good already existing in the universe but does not deprive or absolve us of the moral responsibility of every individual on earth to contribute towards a better world. We are still very much responsible for every world situation being created on earth, collectively.

.

4. Infinite universes mean that in every possible way, existence can express itself. Every possible expression of laws of physics. Every possible way, life can exist, including the new all encompassing definitions of 'life' itself, which humanity cannot even conceive of yet, exists.

.

5. Infinite universes possibly mean that everything that can exist, already exists. There is nothing to be gained from space exploration but everything to be gained from constantly mending and improving human existence and quality of human life on Earth. Also, making the planet habitable. And the shared responsibility for the same.

.

6. Infinite universes and the infinite size of our own universe also means and implies 'infinite resources' but these are just not ours for the taking, we still have to deal with the limited resources available on earth and its judicious exploitation. To further this point, we have to deal with wealth inequality. We have to deal with problems of global food wastage which could otherwise save 25,000 odd humans dying every day due to hunger and starvation.

.

7. Infinite universes mean 'We can ponder and revel in infinities'. All the while, solving real world human problems in our human world. We can hold heads high up in the heavens to seek inspiration for the solutions necessary and to be derived to solve human problems on earth.

.

8. Infinite universe(s) mean that existence will always remain a mystery because there will be infinitely many things to know and no end to human progress.

.

9. We can ponder upon the mysteries of space, fix our gaze on the infinities of space, and that can always inspire us to work our way through everything. And that life is not meaningless or purposeless. And that we can always do better. And that we always have more chances as long as we have life.

.

10. Everything on earth, everything in our world is finite. Resources available to us are finite. So should be put to best possible use and not wasted. Or technological advancements be made to harness energy from the sun that there is no need for other sources even to power our cities. To perpetuate our human existence while making it sustainable for many more generations to come.

.

11. Infinite universes does not mean an infinite version or copies of you existing somewhere in the universe. No. You are 'only you' and of what you are aware of yourself to be. The universe does not split into two every time you make a choice. Life is a learning experience and we learn, grow and evolve from our every experience. So no, parallel worlds, and parallel universes do not exist in which you are a rockstar. You really wanna be a rockstar, then go for it !

.

12. Infinite universes can possibly mean religions are redundant and there may be no need to invoke any Creator. Also, if the Creator is omnipresent, omnipotent, i.e. all powerful, infinitely powerful and omniscient can the Creator only think of creating one finite universe ?? No, na. That would mean that the Creator is finite. Because, there is a limitation to His 'knowing', 'thinking', 'creating' and 'ability'. However, If religions still need to survive, then they all have to agree on the same definition and conception of God as 'Our Infinite Creator'.

.

13. Infinite universes or 'Our Infinite Creator' reinforces spirituality. Every human on earth is on a spiritual quest and mission. Mission to make sense of his / her life and serve humanity with a purpose. To grow through experiences and live the most beautiful life possible, making the best possible use of time at disposal. We are not here to waste our time. The lessons being learnt in life are for our spiritual growth. We make sure that we learn from them ! Our time is finite even though universes can be infinite !

.

14. Infinite Universes exposes the limitations of science or rather of human abilities of 'what can be known'. If a whole lot of what is out there cannot be explored or accessed, it cannot be known. It truly humbles human existence. And we don't have to even invoke infinity for that. Just the vast distances of space makes it redundant for science to even try !

.

15. In short, the universe being finite or infinite, a better world has to be created on earth through human efforts and not through explorations in deep space. It's a human error to try to know everything at once. Progressively researching and developing new technologies leading to new advancements is good but trying to find answers to everything at once is a race that we will never win.
